Admissions

Admissions

Schools in the Diocese of Charleston admit students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.

Priority admission is given first to current students and their siblings. Secondly, to parishioners of one of the Catholic parishes on the Charleston Peninsula (Cathedral, St. Mary’s, St. Patrick, or Sacred Heart). Thirdly, parishioners from other Catholic parishes in the Greater Charleston area are admitted. Finally, to all other children in the Charleston community.

Registration Requirements

To enter K-4, the child must be 4 by 9/1 and potty trained.

To enter Kindergarten, the child must be age 5 by 9/1 and potty trained.

To enter Grade 1, the child must be age 6 by 9/1 and successfully completed an accredited K5 program.

Upon registration, a birth certificate, baptismal certificate, complete educational records and testing and record of immunization must be presented to the school.  Acceptance is provisional until all records are received and it has been determined that The Charleston Catholic School can serve a student’s particular needs.

Verification of registration at one of the area Catholic parishes will be required of all parents of Catholic students in order to qualify for the special Catholic rates.

The non-refundable registration fee is $150.00 per student and registration is confirmed only after the remittance of this fee.
