Mrs. Kristine galemmo, principal

Mrs. Kristine Galemmo is an experienced Catholic school principal who joins us from St. Anthony Catholic School in Florence. A dedicated leader in the Diocese since 2013, she holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership with a focus on Catholic School Leadership from Creighton University. Mr. Ivan Fields - Dean of Student Affairs and Upper School Math

Mr. Fields teaches Upper School Math and Science. He is also the Dean of Student Affairs and the Athletic Director. He earned a B.S. in Mathematics from Benedict College. Mr. Fields has been teaching at CCS since 1991.  Please contact Mr. Fields at ifields@charlestoncatholic.org 

 

mrs. robin pennington, office manager

Robin Pennington is the Office Manager. She has a B.S. degree in Chemistry from the College of Charleston and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of South Carolina. Mrs. Pennington has worked at CCS since 1999. Mrs. Pennington’s email is rpennington@charlestoncatholic.org

 

Ms. Kayla Bieltz -  3rd & 4th grade

Ms. Bieltz was born in Texas, grew up in Georgia, and now feels at home here in South Carolina. She has been in education for five years with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. In her free time Ms. Bieltz enjoys reading a good book, going to the beach and playing fetch with her dog Tinsley.  Ms. Bieltz can be reached at kbieltz@charlestoncatholic.org 

 

Mrs. Havilah Clements - Drama and Music

Mrs. Clements teaches Drama, Music and Movement.  She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performance from Southern Oregon University and a Master of Arts in Teaching Performing Arts from the College of Charleston.  Mrs. Clements is a classically trained artist who enjoys performing on stage. Mrs. Lucia De Rivero - Lower School Spanish

I am originally from Arequipa, Peru. I studied Business Administration and Marketing at the Catholic University of San Pablo in Peru. At the same time, I dedicated myself to working with children through volunteer programs and different initiatives. In my free time, I enjoy swimming, dancing, and spending time with my family. Abigail doud - ELA and REading

Mrs. Doud is teaching ELA and Reading to the Upper School.  She is a graduate of The Charleston Catholic School and Bishop England. Mrs. Doud has a Master's Degree in Teaching from Clemson University, and a Bachelor's Degree in English and Philosophy from Presbyterian College. Mr. Nick Epstein - Physical Education, Upper School Spanish & 5th Grade Religion

Mr. Epstein teaches Spanish and Religion. He is a graduate from Furman University with a double major in Spanish and Economics. He was a varsity athlete in Cross Country and Track. ms. grace Flynn - kindergarten teacher

Ms. Flynn is the kindergarten teacher. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education. Ms. Flynn taught first grade in Summerville.  She is passionate about teaching phonics and writing skills as well as instilling social & emotional learning in her littles each day. Ms. Carley Kleban - 6th-8th Religion

Ms. Kleban is a 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Religion teacher. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Ms. Kleban leads young adult bible study groups and is very active in the local Catholic community as well as in service projects throughout Charleston. She has worked in churches for many years helping plan, lead, facilitate, and execute many youth faith formation classes, events, and retreats. ms. rainA mills - art 

Ms. Mills teaches Art to the K4 to 8th grade students. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art. She has taught multiple art-themed summer camps at the Columbia Museum of Art, as well as interning with them for 1 ½ years.  Please contact Ms. Mills at rmills@charlestoncatholic.org 

 

Mrs. Noreen Serra - 1st & 2nd grade

Mrs. Serra is the second grade teacher. She has a Bachelor of Science and Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Madonna University in Michigan. She has taught pre-school, 1st, 2nd, 5th and 6th grades.  Please contact Mrs. Serra at nserra@charlestoncatholic.org 

 

Mrs. Kelly Siedentop - science & math

Mrs. Siedentop teaches Math and Science to Upper School students. She earned a B.A. in Elementary Education at Illinois College in Jacksonville, Illinois. She has taught in Catholic and public school systems in Illinois for 8 years. Mr. Thomas Thornley - Computer & Social Studies

Mr. Thornley teaches Social Studies and Computer.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from the College of Charleston. ms. Maggie Wetzel - Pre-K lead teacher

Ms. Wetzel is the Pre-K lead teacher. She graduated from the College of Charleston with a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. This past year she taught kindergarten in Florida, and it was such a joy for her to watch her students grow and challenge themselves throughout the year.
