Principal’s Message

September 11, 2015

Dear CCS Families and Friends,

On this Patriot Day, we express our gratitude to all men and women
who serve our country in the Armed Forces, Police Department, Fire
Department, First Responders and Clergy. Also, we remember those
individuals who have given the ultimate sacrifice in their service
for our country. We thank everyone who puts their lives on the line
for others on a daily basis. All students and their families are
invited to participate in our Fishing Club outing on Saturday at
Brittlebank Park on the Ashley River from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Happy

Yours in Christ,

Fred McKay

Spiritual Reflection

“Lord, please let us understand one another to create world peace.
Let us come together in Your love. Let us treat others the way we
want to be treated. Give us the gift of understanding and
forgiveness. Amen.”

Patriot Day!

Today is Patriot Day. It is remembered globally as the anniversary of
the catastrophic terrorist attacks on the USA on September 11, 2001.
Each year on this day, the American flag is flown at half-staff to
honour and commemorate those lives lost.

Mission Statement

The Charleston Catholic School educates a socially diverse student
body in a nurturing family environment within the sacred tradition
and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. Teachers challenge the
students to discover their own unique gifts through creative inquiry
and critical thinking in the core academic subjects and the arts.
Our small, loving environment enables students to learn self
discipline through responsible decision-making and to develop a sense
of compassion for others.
