Total of 128 CCS students in grades 3-8 took the ITBS in Sept. 2011; our students scored at least a grade level above the national norm, higher than approximately 2/3 of students that took the same test at the same time nationally.
ITBS class averages ranged from 62nd -79th national percentile rank (our students scored better than 62%-79% of other students in the same grade levels taking the same test at the same time)
8th graders Ben Daniel, Joseph Curtis and Reuben Pero, who were assisted by 5th grader Rebecca Daniel, won first place in all four categories entered at the Lowcountry Bridge Competition during the Citadel’s 13th Annual Engineers Week on Feb. 18. They won first place for Best Structural Design, Best Architectural Design, Most Constructible, and Best Craftsmanship.

Eight 8th grade students qualified to take the PSAT through the Bishop England High School Eighth Grade Scholars Program.
Eleven (52%) seventh grade students were named Duke Scholars based on their Iowa Test of Basic Skills results.
Three students qualified for the All State Honors Choir for Elementary Schools.
Sixty-five percent (65%) of the fourth graders were named Duke Scholars based on their Iowa Test Basic Skills results.
Forty-seven percent (47%) of the fifth graders were named Duke Scholars based on their Iowa Tests Basic Skills results.
Four students qualifed for the Region Band.
The CCS Junior Boys Basketball Team finished the Trident League Basketball season with a record of 12 - 0.
2006-2007 School Year
Our sixth grade art class, under the direction of Sister Suzanne Phillips, won first place in the City of Charleston’s Christmas tree decoration contest at Marion Square.
Three students qualified for the All-State Honors Choir.
Three eighth grade students earned the distinction as Outstanding Eighth Grade Scholars as the result of their scores on the PSAT taken at Bishop England High School.
Five seventh grade students qualified for the Duke TIP recognition based on their ITBS results.
