Spiritual Reflection

Fourth Sunday of Easter                        Gospel of John 10: 1-10

With this Feast of the Good Shepherd, we are reminded of the image of a shepherd who attends to the needs of his sheep, just as Jesus looks after the needs of his followers.  The sheep know the shepherd by his voice, and we know Jesus by what we read in the Scriptures and what we experience in prayer and through the actions of others.  May our faith be such that we can say, like the psalmist in Psalm 23, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.  In verdant pastures he gives me repose; beside restful waters he leads me; he refreshes my soul.”

 

Also, on this Feast Day of the Good Shepherd, we take this occasion to express our gratitude to our priests for the work they do in our parishes and schools.  To all of our priests, Thank You!

 

School communication

• School Mass, 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, led by Eighth Grade Class.
• School Mass, 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, led by Seventh Grade Class.
• Confirmation for our eighth graders from Cathedral Parish will be Sunday, April 20 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cathedral.

 

Student Activities

• Tennis matches this week: Team #1 (Red) plays today at the Charleston Tennis Center on Farmfield Road and Team #2 (White) plays Thursday at Jack Adams Tennis Courts.
• Career Day for students will be Friday, April 18.
• Cotillion for Upper School will be April 24.
• School holiday for students on April 25 – CCS Teacher in-service day.
• Eighth Grade Class Trip will be April 25-27.
• Field Day will be May 2 at Palmetto Islands County Park in Mt. Pleasant.

• Next PTO meeting will be April 21 starting at 6:00 p.m.  Please plan to attend.
• Next School Board meeting will be April 28 at 7:00 p.m.
