Communications Folders Are Being Sent Home Today!

Dear CCS Families,

Today Communications Folders will be sent home with the youngest
student in your family. Please be sure to look at the information,
sign the outside of the envelope, complete any paperwork that needs
to be filled out and return the envelope to the youngest student’s
homeroom teacher.

School Lunch Order Forms are due tomorrow August 24th

Dear CCS Families,

Please remember to turn your lunch order forms in by Wednesday,
August 24, 2016. Please turn in one form per student and one check
per family.

You will notice that we have added Whole Foods to the lunch program.
This year the vendors are:

Monday – East Bay Deli
Tuesday – Chick-fil-A
Wednesday – Whole Foods
Thursday – Moe’s Southwest Grill
Friday – D’Allesandro’s Pizza

Dear CCS Families,

Welcome to the 2016 – 17 school year.

First day of school for Grades 1 – 8 is Mon., August 15.

School Hours: 8AM – 11:15AM. Mass Day Uniforms.
9AM Mass at Sacred Heart; all are welcome.
First Day of School K4 & K5 is Tues., August 16.

School Hours for K4 & K5 8AM – 11:15AM School Hours for Grades 1 – 8,
8AM – 3PM
Aftercare for grades 1 – 8 (3:15 – 6:00PM)
PE Uniform for Grades K5, 1, 3, 5 & 7
Wed., August 17 Regular School Day (8AM – 3PM)

Students will follow a Monday Schedule for this day.

Below is a reminder of carpool procedures as stated in the
Parent/Student Handbook:

Students may be dropped off as early at 7:30AM. Teachers/Staff on
morning duty will greet students and help them out of the car and
into the school. The Carpool route is as follows:

All students must be dropped off or picked up from Benson Street.
Carpool Route: KING STREET to CONGRESS STREET to BENSON STREET and
then EXIT to HUGER STREET. Please have name card placed on front dash
of the driver’s side of your vehicle.

PLEASE DO NOT DOUBLE PARK to walk your student into the building or
to take care of business in the office. At all times, avoid parking
in spaces marked for Sacred Heart Church personnel beside the
rectory. Also, refrain from blocking the priest’s driveway and the
parking spaces for church personnel.

Teachers are on duty during morning drop-off (7:30 – 8:00) and
afternoon pick-up (3:00 – 3:15) to provide for the safety of students
entering or leaving the campus and to maintain the safe flow of
traffic.

Students SHOULD NOT EXIT vehicles on Huger, Congress or King Streets
since the safety of the children cannot be provided on these three
streets. Students should not get in or out of a vehicle unless
directed to do so by a teacher on duty.

Vehicles are prohibited from parking on the playground area during
school hours (7:30 am – 6:00 PM). Students not picked up by 3:15
pm will be sent to the Aftercare Program for supervision purposes,
and parents will be charged the published fees for use of this
program.

Parents are asked to remain in their cars and to proceed through the
regular carpool process. Please do not park and walk up to the
school to drop off or pick up students.

This year the school theme is “Blessing the tools we need to succeed!”

On Tuesday, August 16th all students will bring their backpacks to
morning prayer. Father Miles will join us and bless all the
students’ backpacks!

Hot Lunch option will begin Monday, August 29th.

Students need to bring their lunches and drinks from home August 16 -26
Do not pack lunches that need to be heated in the microwave
Menus will be sent home Wednesday, August 17

“Meet the Teacher” & “School Supply Drop-Off”

Dear CCS Families,

Tomorrow is “Meet the Teacher” & “Supply Drop-Off”
from 10am – Noon.

There will be some parking on Benson Street. There is also parking available at The International Longshoremen’s parking lot on the corner of King and Congress Streets and the former Trojan Labor parking lot on the corner of King and Huger Streets.

If you have not picked up summer packets, they will be available in the office.

Dear CCS Families,

We hope you are enjoying your summer!

Please drop off school supplies on Wednesday, August 10th from 10am
to Noon. This is also an opportunity for students to meet their
teachers.

If you have not already picked up your information packet, it will be
available in the school office at this time.

All items in the packet must be completed, signed and turned in on
the first day of school.

Saint Bucks Order July 28th

Get Your Saint Bucks Order Together

We will place a Saint Bucks order on Thursday, July 28, just in time
for Tax Free Weekend. Get your school supplies and back to school
shopping done. CCS receives a percentage back on every Saint Bucks
(Script Card) that is ordered. There are hundreds of retail stores
available.

A Message from Read’s Uniforms

Dear CCS Families,

Read’s Uniforms asked us to please relay the following information to
parents who are shopping at their store for school uniforms. In an
effort to better serve you please see the suggestions below.

As the end of July approaches, Read’s business will increase.

Please note:

Normal embroidery orders take 14 – 17 business days. As business
increases after the 1st of August the time may be pushed back to 17 –
20 business days. Please try to purchase/place orders before August
1st.Due to high volume of orders in August/September, we will not be
able to process RUSH orders.
