Principal’s Message

Spiritual Reflection

May 20, 2014

Dear CCS Families,

Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of our family. Enlighten our
hearts and minds that we may live more fully this vocation to love.

In our daily life and work, may we reflect the self-giving love which
you, O Father, eternally show with your Son and the Holy Spirit.

I wanted to let you know that a Memorial Mass and The Blessing of
Bishop David B. Thompson’s Tombstone will be held at the Cathedral of
St. John the Baptist, Friday May 23, 2014 at 6:00 PM.

Bishop Robert E. Guglielmone will be the celebrant during this

Bishop Guglielmone invites all CCS families to attend.
We would also appreciate students to dress in Mass Day Uniforms.
As you know Bishop Thompson founded The Charleston Catholic School,
and was a great advocate and supporter of the school. We would be
grateful to those who can attend and represent The Charleston
Catholic School.

Yours in Christ,

Fred McKay

Mission Statement

The Charleston Catholic School educates a socially diverse student
body in a nurturing family environment within the sacred tradition
and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. Teachers challenge the
students to discover their own unique gifts through creative inquiry
and critical thinking in the core academic subjects and the arts.
Our small, loving environment enables students to learn self
discipline through responsible decision-making and to develop a sense
of compassion for others.
